How can FI-Lab, FI-WARE’s open innovation lab, accelerate innovation of Smart City applications? Here’s an infographic (with links to extra information) that illustrates how.

First of all, Cities constantly generate a great deal of information that can be registered and used to improve the daily lives of the people that live in it. For example: networks of sensors can register data regarding mobility information.

FI-LAB
FI-LAB is a live instance of FI-WARE, an open platform which integrates advanced Cloud capabilities and a library of Generic Enablers offering a powerful yet easy-to-use set of open APIs.

App Developers (SME’s, entrepreneurs, ) can test with real data, run trials with real users, host a  permanent showcase… allowing them to connect with potential customers and accelerate product development.

CITIES
Using FI-WARE, cities can perform a more efficient management of city services and deliver innovative applications to their citizens. They can accelerate innovation by sharing their open data on FI-Lab, making it available to entrepreneurs who will create Smart City applications.
