How do different organizations build a space where data is shared in a decentralized manner, profiting each stakeholder? That is the question the Industrial Data Space Association (IDSA) aims to answer.
The IDSA is working to create such a space, including a variety of actors, from private companies to public institutions, and involving major Industry stakeholders and frontrunners of the evolution of the Industry 4.0 vision.
Within an interconnected industrial framework, each organization is able to use data provided by any participant, building a peer-to-peer network in order to improve their own production and operational processes. The data can also be shared and used by third parties, and it can be monetized. The common space, built by the IDSA, will make the Data Economy a reality, allowing a free flow of industrial data across borders, maintaining the security, trustworthiness and sovereignty of data.
Born in Germany, the Association is incorporating new players in Europe and Worldwide. Together with its Spanish counterpart, the Industria Conectada 4.0 initiative, it will celebrate a first joint Summit under the umbrella of the FIWARE Tech Summit.
