The Global City Teams Challenge Smart and Secure Cities and Communities Challenge kickoff event will be taking place from the 6th to the 8th of February, 2018. Jose Gonzalez, Innovation Manager at Interinnov, will be heading to Washington DC next month to particupate in and speak at the event. InterInnov will officially represent the FIWARE Community as a leading partner in FIWARE Mundus, an innitiative which promotes the adoption of FIWARE at a global scale, and coordinates the engagement in North America in particular.
The GCTC-SC3 kickoff conference aims to bring together hundreds of municipal governments and technology innovators from across the globe with the goal to encourage Smart City and Internet of Things stakeholders to create teams and, together, to address shared issues faced by cities and communities. GCTC 2018 will call for an additional focus on cybersecurity and privacy, as well as all existing GCTC goals, such as replicability, scalability and sustainability.
In addition, Jose will be representing FIWARE a long side other partners of GCTC, such as NIST, ANSI, ETSI, as part of the IoT Smart City Framework (IES-City Framework) on the 8th of February. The aim of this international working group will be to compare scattered architectural efforts and city stakeholders in order to extract a consensus framework of common architectural features.
