6000 attendees, 600 speakers, +150 sessions, 200 journalists, +70 countries, and FIWARE! The FIWARE Foundation will be in Brussels, Belgium next week to attend the European Week of Regions and Cities. The event will take place from the 8th to the 11th of October.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
Together with the CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) team, the FIWARE Foundation will be in attendance to proudly promote the Context Broker as a CEF Building Block. The Context Broker, which is a core component of FIWARE, has been added to the CEF Data Value Chain. This will “provide an integrated set of CEF Building Blocks mapped into a number of tools and components. In addition, it will implement “standards and open API specifications, covering the whole process of data collection and treatment”. As a Building Block it enables organisations (including public administrations) to share data in real time at the right time.
