Many cities use digital technologies to foster local innovation and increase the efficiency of public services for their citizens while decreasing costs and breaking down information silos. But they are often struggling to extract the promised value out of ICT solutions.
FIWARE provides a powerful technological basis to enable a city to become truly smart. The open source technology was born in Europe and actually more than 100 cities from around the world are realizing their Smart City based on FIWARE technology.
The Open and Agile Smart Cities (OASC) initiative, the FIWARE Foundation, Engineering Ingegneria Informatica SpA, and FI-GLOBAL have joined forces to present the opportunities that arise from the adoption of FIWARE.
The event on October 30th, 2018 in Montevideo will be hosted by Antel and Arnaldo C. Castro SA and is supported by the Municipality of Montevideo, as well as CIEMSA.
Engineering Ingegneria Informatica SpA will present the City Enabler, an Internet of Everything platform, powered by FIWARE. This platform was installed at Antel and the FIWARE certificate will be awarded to Antel by the FIWARE Foundation CEO Ulrich Ahle during the Montevideo IoT workshop.
