The 10th FIWARE Global Summit, organised in partnership with Meditech Competence Center and Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti, Infiniti Mondi – Napoli Innovation City and hosted by Comune di Napoli, has successfully wrapped up after two days of dynamic discussions, innovation showcases, and thought leadership in the field of cutting-edge technologies such as Open Source, AI, Data Spaces, Trust and Digital Twins for Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Smart Water, Smart Agrifood, Smart Industry, Smart Transportation and other key economic sectors. Held in Naples, this landmark event brought together more than 400 participants from 28 countries, 120 speakers, 9 panel discussions, and certified more than 50 tech experts. As the biggest achievement, FIWARE announced 20 new Gold and 12 Associate Members, and five new Innovation Hubs (iHubs) that keep growing its global network.

Forging New Partnerships and Solutions
The 10th edition of FIWARE Global Summit facilitated the development of new partnerships with businesses, public administrations, researchers, and developers from around the world, collaborating in dozens of matchmaking sessions and networking meetings to address pressing global challenges. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a two day Tech Training program, equipping developers and technological experts with hands-on experience in using FIWARE’s NGSI APIs, more than 1200 Smart Data Models, AL, Digital Twins, Data Spaces and other open-source solutions to develop smarter and more efficient technologies.
Day two brought more than 50 hands-on use cases and FIWARE’s practical applications for Smart Communities and Mobility, Smart Energy, Industry, Agrifood, and Smart Water, as well as deep dives into enabling technologies based on Data Space, Digital Twins, AI and ML, Robotics. The global audience had a unique opportunity to learn from Innovation projects, such as DOME, Enershare, BeOpen, and others, on urban planning, climate action and data sharing in cities. Leading experts from more than 44 regional, national and international FIWARE iHubs shared their best practices and expertise, tools and methodologies to strengthen digital innovation ecosystems for digital development of local territories.
