‘Capitalizing the Connected World’ at the India M2M + IoT Forum

Jan 7, 2019Smart Cities

The FIWARE Foundation is pleased to be returning to India for the sixth India m2m + iot Forum at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Together with FIWARE Foundation Platinum Member NEC, we are a Principal Partner of the event. The event will take place on the 14th and 15th of January 2019.

“[The] India m2m + iot Forum is a cohesive and shared platform, which validates [a] united and collective vision of the global m2m and iot ecosystem. It is the most awaited annual congregation of m2m + iot stakeholders representing the entire ecosystem comprising of academics, analysts and researchers, enterprises and industry, governments – policy makers and regulators, industry associations and organizations, media organizations, standards organizations, the student’s community and above all the end users from businesses, citizen services and government.”

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Capitalizing the Connected World’, a very fitting theme considering the rise in India’s usage of disruptive technologies. These technologies include machine-to-machine (m2m) and the internet of things (IoT), as well as emerging technologies, such as Big Data, AI and cloud-fog-edge-mist computing, to name a few.

Join Our Partners at the FIWARE Patio

Joining us at the FIWARE stand at Silver Oak are FIWARE Foundation Platinum Members NEC Technologies India and Gold Members APInf, Mobilepedia, and Smart Cities Lab.

NEC Technologies India will be attending the patio with 5 solutions, including an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) and a Logistics Data Bank (LDB) using FIWARE, as well as a disaster recovery solution. APInf will introduce their Smart Transport demo to attendees at the stand. The demo is an intelligent transportation system that uses FIWARE technology. Smart Cities Lab will in turn be showcasing VeroCity, a “full city platform for data management, including IoT, GIS, Open Data, Big Data, and eGovernment”. Last, but certainly not least, Mobilepedia Innovations Pvt. Ltd. will be presenting their Smart City Shared Services Platform.

“As selected Smart Cities begin to deploy digital platforms for integrated command and control centers, there is an urgent need to partner with experts and industry solution providers to bring global best practices in the domain by deploying good practices used globally to adapt them to demonstrate their suitability for Indian needs”, says Mukul Mahajan, Founder of Mobilepedia.

Come and meet our exhibitors, as well as fellow Principal Partner NEC Technologies India at the FIWARE Patio to learn more about how FIWARE is helping to transform cities to deliver more efficient services and boost growth.
