The Netherlands has stated that it will soon have its first FIWARE Lab node. Five companies (Civity, Deloitte, Elba-Rec, Onetrail and Xcellent), supported by the Economic Board Utrecht, have announced this initiative, which makes the Netherlands walk in the footspets of European countries such as Germany, France, Italy and Spain (as well as non-European countries such as Mexico).

Open Data, meeting sessions in startup centers, Smart Cities and investment to create new jobs and opportunities for companies are a key factor in the development of this initiative. Municipalities, companies, developers and other interested parties will find more information about FIWARE Lab NL at www.fiware-lab.nl. There, they will also be able to read more information about the upcoming opening of the lab in September 2015.
